WHAT IS ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-based therapy that targets to decrease or increase behaviors by changing an individual’s environment. In other words, receiving ABA services can help to significantly reduce, or altogether eliminate behaviors that impede on a child’s quality of life (e.g., physical aggression, self-injurious behaviors, elopement). ABA will help to increase alternative skills, such as those in the areas of communication, social play, and independence.

ABA differs from other health-related services in that it is ongoing, includes multiple settings, and most importantly, ABA integrates the child’s immediate family, teachers, and current therapists. Healthcare integration allows us to provide the most effective and efficient services to our clients.

Using the most up-to-date and ethical methods, your child’s targeted therapy is driven by direct observation rather than subjectivity. This is what makes ABA so powerful.
