What's the ADOS-2 Test?

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, play/imaginative use of materials, and restricted and repetitive behaviors for individuals who have been referred  because of possible autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

This assessment is considered the “gold standard” for diagnosing ASD (Kanne, Randolph, & Farmer, 2008; Ozonoff, Goodlin-Jones, & Solomon, 2005)

The ADOS-2 is one piece of the comprehensive diagnostic evaluation required by Medicaid and private insurance companies prior to authorization for ABA services.

Virtual assessments may be considered under special circumstances. Please reach out for more information.
